Bankruptcy is no laughing matter. In fact, it’s terribly stressful. A pile of debt is no fun at all, and only gets worse with the pressure to over-spend. Here’s an idea: instead of over-spending this Christmas, decide not to. Instead of a stressed-out Christmas, decide to have a Merry Christmas.
I know, I know, it seems easy for me to say. But truly, at this time of year, I urge all of my clients around the Denver metro area to take a moment to simply enjoy friends and family. Your debts (including your Christmas debts) will still be there in January, and we can deal with them then.
Remember, you can earn your money back but you can never get the moments back.
Say no to the malls. Resist the last-minute sales. Ignore the credit card offers. Instead, put on your ugliest Christmas sweater and have a little fun. Your family will love the chuckle and you’ll thank me for this advice, I promise.
